These instructions are for the Planet HM316W Night Vision IR camera

Camera Setup:

1. ensure you have set up an ip address that works on your network
2. create a user name and password in the cameras menu. its best not to use the default admin account.
3. Once you have set that up go to A/V Settings then select Video Settings
4. Stream 1 is reserved for recording so if you are going to use the built in recording set the video settings you want there. This is great for using the built in SD card recording, Stream to NAS function or when using NVR software.  It allows you to record a higher resolution video feed while Control4 uses a lower quality one for its touch screens. 

Stream 2 is what Control4 uses. Set it to the following:"

Basic Mode

Resoluton 640x480

Quality Best

Video Frame Rate 15 FPS

Video Format JPEG

RTSP leave blank. may say v2

click apply

Control4 Driver Setup:

In the driver put in the Cameras

1. IP address
2. Port number (if you have changed it from 80)
3. user name 
4. password

then refresh navigator.

Note: Clicking Test HTTP Connection typically fails
