Uniview Streaming Protocols

This guide is designed to help you setup streaming connections to Uniview cameras and network video recorders.

JPEG Snapshot Image for Uniview Cameras

RTSP Streaming for Uniview Cameras

rtsp://[USER] : [PASSWORD] @ [IP ADDDRESS] : [RTSP PORT] /media/video[STREAM NUMBER]

Stream 1 Example: rtsp://admin:password@192.168.20.15:544/media/video1
Stream 2 Example: rtsp://admin:password@192.168.20.15:544/media/video2

MJPEG RTSP Stream
Note: When enabling a MJPEG stream it is best practice to use the last stream available and keep Stream 1 on the higher resolution. 



Enabling the second or third stream (1) and configuring for MJPEG (2) will enable NVR and viewer applications to access the higher resolution video on Stream 1. Adjust the Resolution and Frame Rate (3) for your application.
